Bruce was a horticulturalist extraordinaire (known as the Greenman), lapidarist, artist, storyteller, and lover of nature (as he always said “The forest is my church”). Most importantly, he loved to grow things, nurturing both plants and people. Bruce was committed to land stewardship. He participated in heritage seed libraries and shared his knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn.

On Earth Day (Saturday April 22nd) 2023 at 2pm on his farm Chestnut Lanes (3559 PAUL ROSE ROAD FRANKFORT, MI 49635)
We are hoping you can bring a story, memory, or impression of Bruce to share either verbally or written to with the family. Written notes or thoughts will be especially appreciated by his daughter and grandchildren in remembering him fully.
We will have a small ceremony, a fire to gather around, time and space to wander the property and some of Bruce’s art to share.
